I'm a vocalist who integrates my love of blues, country, rock, jazz, world, and folk music into my vocal style. I draw upon my background as a storyteller and my passion for music history to explore Americana music—its global influences, cultural footprint, and narrative themes—with my audience.
I've performed in a wide variety of music projects around the world. For five years, I led San Francisco rockabilly band The Rumble Strippers—a project which resulted in several original song compositions, an album release, and live performances at many West Coast venues and festivals, including Viva Las Vegas. I am also the founder and lead singer of the Jo'Blues & Jazz Collective—a group of musicians passionate for learning, sharing, and performing music from the blues and jazz genre. As a graduated student of the martial art of Capoeira, I am also an experienced musician on the berimbau, hand drums, and folkloric vocals from the Afro-Brazilian tradition.
